Dr. Kleider's retirement and the future of the practice and your horse's care

Thursday, July 21, 2022

Dear Clients, Colleagues and Friends,

I am blessed that there are few boundaries between the above categories. As clients you have entrusted your horses to my care and friendships have arisen. As colleagues you have shared ideas, provided me with challenges and taught me the benefits of mutual respect. As associates many of you have gone far above the call of duty to ensure our proficiency and reputation and as friends your support has encouraged me to rise when it was easier to sit, …. I will always be grateful.

After 44 years in equine practice, I am retiring.

As of Friday, August 26th/2022 I will no longer be seeing patients.  Dr Sarah Squinas, who has been a mainstay for Kleider Veterinary Services, will continue to care for you and the horses in our care. Kleider Veterinary Services has amalgamated with Agwest Veterinary Group and Dr. Steve Chiasson and Dr Lauren Jeffery will be joining Sarah, our receptionist Shannon and our veterinary assistants Leila, Laura and Adelle in ensuring that there is no disruption in your horse’s care. The phone number you are used to calling will remain the same to allow for easy communication in the future.

It has been a pleasure looking after your veterinary needs and I am grateful for the opportunity to do so. I will be taking a year sabbatical and hope to be available in the future for lameness consultations.

Please call if you have any questions or concerns.
